Stone Brewing was founded on the idea of challenging the status quo and launched a generation of hop fanatics.

In my years at Stone, I began as Sr. Multimedia Designer and ended as Creative Director with several stops in between. It is impossible to show all the blood, sweat and design that went into my time there. I loved every minute of it and steeped myself in the rich culture of craft beer becoming a craft ambassador to anyone that would listen. I helped usher in the famed Enjoy By series, lead a rebranding process, updated the website, launched Stone’s Instagram channel, developed beer brands and packaging for dozens of beers, won three Telly awards, shot countless images, filmed days of video, and taught beer education at TEDx, Pecha Kucha, and Disney’s Food & Wine Festival.

I made some of my best friends and we built some incredible art together. I hope you enjoy the following work and see how it shaped a built a brand that still stands today.

Collaboration Series

Stone collaborated with other breweries annually to produce special, short run, unique beers. In the art department, it was an opportunity to be creative and showcase a different side of Stone. The challenge was always how to showcase the other two breweries. In a concept meeting we said, “these are hard to design. They’re three headed monsters.” Followed quickly by, “what if it was a three eyed monster?” An idea was born and we created some of my favorite packaging designs. This is what happens when you have a brand that uses skulls and horns, loves heavy metal, and chooses to lean hard into that space. Design isn’t simply about great art as a centerpiece. There are still countless ways this art needs to be replicated, from keg collars to print ready packaging:
